A Wine Box?

I bought this cheap wine box from Yorkshire Trading, as soon as I saw it, I could imagine the inside being a part of a vineyard cellar. I decorated the walls with torn paper mache egg cartons, painted them, I tried to dirty them but that didn't work too well. Made and added some balsa shelves. The contents were all bought over a period of maybe, two years at 4 trade events, adding pieces to add to the project. Unusually for me, there are no hand crafted items. I welcome any comments or questions.

  1. I love this! It's such a great idea and definitely do-able whether you're an experienced miniaturist or not.

Thank you for your nice comments on my blog (and it looks like I'm your first follower).

Looking forward to seeing what you show us next.

  2. OMG! Mrs R!!! I didn't know you did mini stuff - I have a dolls house, did you know that?

It's very much a WIP - bought it before I got married, but now with the kids on the scene, it has very much taken a back seat LOL. Robert had one of his Bob the Builder figures in it once (says it all really LOL).

I still collect bits n bobs throughout the years, which I will eventually use to furnish it. I've even made minature food for it out of fimo.

If you are selling off some bits PLEASE let me know when so I can maybe have a wee bid etc...

PS: LOVE this wine box - it's fantastic. I don't drink the horrid stuff, but my wee mum does so might have to see if she has any boxes anywhere.

    Lxx
